Spirit Untamed is the continued story of a wild stallion named Spirit. We first met him in the Oscar nominated film, Spirit : The Stallion of Cimarron. DreamWorks newest animated feature is the next chapter of Spirit’s journey. All I can say is that, DreamWorks does it again! Taking us on an epic adventure of how Spirit meets Lucky, a headstrong girl looking to connect with her mother’s legacy and her Mexican heritage. Lucky finds she has more in common with the wild mustang than she expected. In this film we reconnect with Spirit and find the sleepy town of Miradero to meet its residents.

This film features, Isabela Merced (Dora and the Lost City of Gold) as Lucky, Academy Award winner Julianne Moore as Lucky’s Aunt Cora, Oscar nominee, Jake Gyllenhaal as Lucky’s father, as well as McKenna Grace (Captain Marvel) and Marsai Martin (Blackish) as Lucky’s best PAL’s!

My kids (ages 5, 6 and 12) are big fans of the Spirit franchise. From Spirit, The Stallion of Cimarron, we followed Spirit to the Netflix series Spirit, Riding Free. The retelling of how Lucky and Spirit met was absolutely perfect! It answers questions left unanswered from the series and re-tells the story in beautiful, heartfelt and adventure packed film. We loved seeing Lucky as a baby, and the music! It left us singing and more in love with Spirit, Lucky, Pru, Chica Linda, Abigail and Boomerang than ever before.
