On Saturday July 27 2019, Subliminal Projects, a gallery space established by Shepard Fairey and Blaze Blouin presented, “Power to the Parks”, a week long fundraising group exhibition. The exhibition benefits the National Parks Conservation Association. Through the art presented and its discussion this exhibition aims to help generate support, educate and ignite participation for the benefit of our National Parks. Along with the opening of the show, Studio Number One launched a product capsule. The 3 piece Power to the Parks collection includes a unisex t-shirt, a tote bag, and a 32oz Nalgene water bottle, all showcasing original graphics designed by SNO.
Power to the Parks group exhibition featured contributing artists, Adrian Landon Brooks, Ako Castuera, Amber Vittoria, Camilla Lonis, DJ Javier, Francisco Reyes Jr., Ian Stoufer, Jillian Evelyn, Justin Krietemeyer, Kris Chau, Mel Kadel, Nathaniel Russell, Robbie Simon, Shepard Fairey, Stephanie Louise Enciso, Thomas Wimberly, Ty Williams and Victoria Cassinova. During the week long exhibit, 50% of sales price of the artwork sold will be donated to National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA). NPCA is an organization whose mission is to protect and enhance America’s National Park System for present and future generations.
Parks Project’s purpose is to advocate for America’s parklands; informing, inspiring, volunteering and directly supporting the future of the parks. The art featured in this show is thought provoking and insightful. It features an incredible blend of new up and coming artists along with well established artists giving the exhibit an edge that is reflective of the art exhibits mission, preserving and protecting our parks for present and future generations. Every purchase funds projects in our parks such as wild life conservation, trail restoration, visitor education and much more. This collaboration between Parks Project and Studio Number ONE truly helps to leave our National Parks better than we found them.
