On July 30th, 2019 the arts and crafts retailer Michaels, in partnership with Busy Phillips, hosted an exclusive Back to School “crafternoon” event in Los Angeles. The event was aimed at getting Back to School ready with organization tips and crafts to get the new school year started on the right foot!

We were treated to an exclusive demonstration of the new Cricut infusible inks. In only 45 seconds the ink completely fuses the fabric leaving a soft breathable screen print like transfer. I was incredibly impressed with its multitude of uses! All of the lucky invitees were able to craft their own t-shirt using Cricut infusible inks.

There were crafting stations and beautifully catered bites galore! All of the crafting and excitement reminded me of the years I spent this time getting my own classroom ready for back to school. I thought of my endless trips to Michaels craft store. Thinking about my classroom budget and dividing my classroom needs and wants and clipping and stacking coupons so that I can make it happen for my students. I haven’t forgotten about that struggle and meanwhile I get back to teaching, I thought I would help some teachers out! Michael’s has generously teamed up with me @the.real.LA.mama to give away 5 (!!!) 50$ gift cards to 5 deserving teachers! Only through August 6th 2019. For more details, checkout my Instagram link HERE! Good Luck!!

A huge Thank you to Michaels and to Busy Phillips for a perfect crafternoon!
