Universal Studios Hollywood has unveiled its thrilling and spine-tingling lineup for Halloween Horror Nights 2023. As if the haunted mazes and scare zones weren’t enough, this year’s event is taking horror to the next level with a food and drink experience that’s to die for.

If you’re a fan of the hit series “Stranger Things,” you’re in for a treat. The Surfer Boy Pizza shop is serving up pizzas like “Try Before You Deny,” perfect for adventurous taste buds. Pair it with some Pineapple Buffalo Wings for a spicy kick, and don’t forget to finish with the deliciously wicked Hellfire Pop dessert.

But the “Stranger Things” food adventure doesn’t end there. Head to Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream Shop for Eleven’s Waffle Sundae and Upside Down World Milkshake – a sweet escape from the eerie happenings around you. And make sure to check out the new ’80s-themed Stellar Bar, where you can sip incredible cocktails and savor classic ’80s bites like Demogorgon Pizza and Pizza Fries while grooving to iconic ’80s hits. I can personally recommend the Upside Down cocktail!

For those with a taste for something killer, Chucky’s “Killer BBQ” menu has you covered. Sink your teeth into Chucky’s A Clucking Nightmare Sandwich or Friends to the Burnt End Sandwich, and don’t miss Chucky’s Mac-Assacre and Cheese. Feeling daring? Try the Always Comeback Corndog or the Like to be Hugged Salad, it was my personal favorite and did I mention it’s VEGAN!? And, of course, dessert is a must with the Child’s Play Funnel Cake and Knife Cookie garnished with a chilling “Wanna Play?” Enjoy all of this with a side of cotton candy lemonade called The Good Guy or the Wanna Play? cocktail.

Fans of “The Last of Us” can sink their teeth into the Cordyceps Corndog at Mummy Eats, conveniently located near “Revenge of The Mummy—The Ride.” It’s the perfect blend of savory and spooky for your taste buds.

Embrace the vibrant culture of Los Angeles with a Dia de los Muertos food and drink display at Universal Plaza. Raise your glass to the living and the dead with craft cocktails like the Tlahuelpuchi Margarita, El Silbón Mule, La Lechuza, and La Muerte, served in colorful souvenir cups. Premium margaritas include the Spicy Strawberry Vodka Margarita and the Smoked Cauldron Margarita. Food items include delicious birria tacos with red sauce and (my favorite dessert! ) a sweet, gold-dusted Chocolate Skull Cake.

Don’t miss the new themed Peacock Halloween Horror Bar near the park entrance. This eerie bar offers very spooky and tempting cocktails like the Purge Punch, Peacocktail, and Charles Lee Ray in honor of “Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count.”

No need to worry about dietary restrictions – Halloween Horror Nights and Executive Chef Julia Thrash has you covered with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options to satisfy every appetite. Just remember, you must be 21 years or older with a valid ID to purchase alcoholic beverages.

While the food deserves a spotlight, Halloween Horror Nights offers a spine-chilling lineup of attractions, including:

– “The Last of Us”: Embark on an adventure in the post-pandemic world, facing Clickers, Hunters, and more.
– “Stranger Things 4”: Step into Hawkins, Indiana, and confront the newest villain, Vecna.
– “The Exorcist: Believer”: A terrifying new horror experience inspired by the film.
– “Universal Monsters: Unmasked”: Witness iconic monsters like The Invisible Man and The Phantom of the Opera.
– “Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count”: Join the infamous killer doll on a rampage.
– “Evil Dead Rise”: Immerse yourself in the twisted world of Evil Dead.
– “Monsters: The Monsters of Latin America”: Encounter terrifying ghosts and creatures from Latin American folklore.
– “Holidayz in Hell”: Brave a series of psychotic seasonal celebrations.
– “Terror Tram…The Exterminatorz”: Face an insect uprising led by Larry Larva.

And don’t forget to explore “Blumhouse: Behind the Screams,” an immersive experience with props, costumes, and terrifying character encounters from Blumhouse horror films.

Halloween Horror Nights is not for the faint of heart, but it promises unforgettable thrills, chills, and mouthwatering delights. So, grab your friends, summon your courage, and get ready for a night of fear, fun, and fantastic food. Halloween Horror Nights runs on select nights through October 31, 2023 – if you dare!
