It’s that spooky time of year! Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort is here and it goes from September 2nd through October 31st. There are only 8 weeks of faBOOlous frights, so I thought I’d break it down for you so you don’t miss a thing! EVEN if you aren’t going into the parks, there is some chilling fun for ALL! Lets get in to it!

Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party

This is a special ticketed event. It is an after hours private spooktacular bash hosted by Oogie Boogie. It features rare character sightings, photo ops, Spooky (but not scary!) treat mazes, specialty treats, entertainment, rides, and even an event exclusive parade led by a headless horseman! The party begins at 6pm, but your ticket also lets you enjoy Disney California Adventure Park for up to 3 hours before Oogie Boogie Bash begins. Tickets for this event sold out really fast this year. If you didn’t get tickets… and you happen to be staying at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels on a party night… there is a very limited number of tickets held ONLY for hotel guests, but they go very early and fast! Check with a cast member at your resort for details.

So, you didn’t get tickets to Oogie Boogie, that’s alright! There is soooo much to see, do and eat throughout Disneyland Park and California Adventure! The parks have been decorated in their spooky best and all your favorite characters are ready for fun wearing their Halloween costumes! Here’s what you shouldn’t miss…

Special themed rides at DCA –  Maters Graveyard JamBOOree, Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-oween, Gaurdians of the Galaxy : Monsters After Dark and at Disneyland, our favorite, Haunted Mansion Holiday where Jack Skellington has taken over and haunted the halls with care!

Halloween Screams! – A special fireworks spectacular filled with your favorite villain’s and our favorite ghost dog Zero haunting the skies! You wont believe your eyes!!

Specialty themed foods – There are tantalizing treats to try throughout the resort. This year there is a new Zombie Gingerbread man, essentially the same as the highly coveted gingerbread man from the holidays but spooked into a zombie version. It is equally highly coveted and I haven’t been able to snag one yet! They are made fresh a few times a day so keep an eye out for them!

Plaza De La Familia – Celebrate family bonds at Paradise Gardens and the Dia de Los Muertos Celebration. There is a memory wall you can add to and coloring craft for the kids. You can catch a musical celebration of Coco and different entertainment throughout the day like our favorites, Mariachi Divas and The Tina Aldana Band! The food there is great too! lots to eat! I recommend sipping on the Watermelon Candy Cocktail!!

So…. your pass expired and you’re felling like your on the outside looking in?? I GOT YOU! head to Downtown Disney for fun even without a park ticket!

Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit! – Starting September 9th, you can purchase a game board and hunt for hidden pumpkins in the Downtown Disney District. Once you find all the pumpkins you can turn in your board game for a spooky surprise!

Lots of festive merch to peruse at the World of Disney and throughout the different shops in DTD. Even live entertainment on select nights!

Grand Californian Lobby – Pop into the Grand Californian Lobby and check out the giant Oogie Boogie sculpture that is one ginourmous treat made of 220 pounds of rice cereal treats! There are even 13 hidden Mickeys to find! Right next to it is a treat cart and if you’re lucky, you might even snag one of those Gingerbread Zombie cookies!

With so much to see and do what will you do first!?
