Disney Channels newest animated series is here, and I think it’s here to stay! With refreshing characters and comedy that will have the whole family laughing, this series is sure to be an instant classic with the likes of Disney Channel’s animated hits, Phinneas and Ferb, and Big City Greens.

Recently we had the opportunity to meet with Ashly Burch , the voice of Molly McGee and Dana Snyder, the voice of Scratch for a Q and A on the show. It was very clear to me that the heart of this series lies beyond the lovable characters we see on screen. The care with which each character is written and the love each actor puts into their character has created the perfect storm for this instant hit!

Created and executive produced by Bill Motz and Bob Roth, the show follows tween Molly McGee. Molly is a bi racial, half Thai, 13 year old girl who looks at life with such optimism and joy that it makes her the perfect friend for Scratch a grumpy ghost sent back to haunt and spread misery. Watch Molly and Scratch meet in this clip!

This series is getting so much buzz, it’s already green lit for a second season, and we couldn’t be happier about it! It’s so rare to find programming that the whole family can enjoy, but Disney Channel did it again! You’ll be laughing out loud and falling in love with these characters just like us! My favorite episode, so far, is Season 1 Ep 5 “The Best of Nin-tensions”. I can relate so much to the tensions between Nin and Sharon. The episode is so relatable as an adult but also hilarious for the whole family! You can catch the first season on Disney Channel and Disney Plus now!

A big thank you to Disney Channel PR for inviting us to the special meet and greet with our favorite characters and the special sweet treats! We even had an opportunity to learn how to draw Scratch, along with his real life animator Karl Cruz! Check out Levi’s drawing of Scratch below! Be sure to catch new episodes of The Ghost and Molly McGee, Saturdays only on Disney Channel!
