Since I started eating clean, I have lost all the multiple baby weight I was carrying (over 30 lbs!) A welcomed side effect to eating clean. Now I feel like it’s time to put in some work and incorporate some exercise in my life. Not to be all buff and impress anyone with my physique, but because it’s good for me and it feels good to feel strong. I’m busy and generally a crazy mess so I am not going to jump into a demanding exercise program. I am proposing a slow start. My goal is working out two times a week. Then once I’ve gotten a grip on that schedule, I’ll increase another day. So many times I have started a workout schedule pushing myself to workout 5 days a week and by the end of the week I’m over it and feeling totally burned out. It leads to disappointment and feelings of failure and hopelessness which is not how exercise is supposed to feel! Exercise is supposed to feel good to do! I found that a gradual start and slow increases over time will yield and higher success rate. You’ll feel good about your changes and it won’t feel like a drastic stretch to keep up with.

“Exercise is supposed to feel good to do!”

I love doing Hot Yoga and when I was doing that my body felt the strongest and leanest of my life. Alas, I don’t have the time or resources to leave the house for a hot yoga session so I’m going to start with my favorite exercise video. It’s free and I can do it in my living room! I plan on following along the recommended 30 day schedule that it comes with but only two days a week for now. If you want to join me in my new fitness journey, we can cheer each other on and laugh at exercise memes together!
